The Nike sneakers will be up for grabs on 26 March, which is Air Max Day.
Sneakerheads are always excited about new drops. And if there’s one date that’s permanently circled on the calendar, it’s Air Max Day. In fact, if it were up to the community, it would probably be a public holiday. Every year, 26 March turns into a global celebration of all things Air Max, bringing with it nostalgia, hype, and fresh releases — and this time, Nike is going all in.
Air Max Day is Nike’s annual celebration of its iconic Air shoes. First introduced back in 1987 with the Air Max 1, the sneaker changed the game by making the cushioning visible. Nike officially launched Air Max Day in 2014 to honour that legacy. Now, it’s one of the biggest moments in the sneaker calendar.

This year’s lineup feels like a return. There’s a strong mix of brand-new drops, beloved classics, and limited-edition collaborations. Leading the charge is the new Air Liquid Max. It features a futuristic design with a sculpted, “liquid-like” Air unit and a black-and-green colourway.
Apart from 2026’s drop, other pieces making a comeback include the Air Max 90 Infrared, Air Max 95 Pink Foam and Air Max 95 Greedy.

Collaborations dropping this Air Max Day include Patta with another Air Max 1 Waves and a grey and orange palette. Ducks of a Feather teams up with Nike for two Air Max 95 designs. Nike’s futuristic Air Max 1000, produced with 3D-printing specialists, is also making a return in a sleek black and yellow colour.
If you’re planning to grab either of these, you’ll need to be prepared. Most of the releases will drop through the Nike SNKRS app and will sell out in minutes — if not seconds. So get ready!
So whether you’re looking for the 2026 drop or want to grab some of the classics, Air May Day is not one to be missed. Set your alarms, and get ready for this year’s perfect sneaker.
