From 2 June 2026, Singapore Airlines will relaunch non-stop services between Riyadh and Singapore four times a week.

Direct flights between Riyadh and Singapore are officially back on the radar. After a 12-year hiatus, Singapore Airlines is reinstating its non-stop route between Singapore Changi Airport and Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, responding to renewed appetite for travel, trade, and tourism between the two cities.

Starting 2 June 2026, the airline will operate four weekly services, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The route clocks in at roughly nine hours in the air, meaning travellers can swap multi-stop itineraries and transit stress for a far smoother journey.

In terms of timing, SQ498 departs Singapore in the evening, while SQ499 returns from Riyadh shortly before midnight. The schedule is designed to keep connections and planning straightforward, whether you’re travelling for a meeting, a weekend break, or a longer stay. These flights are planned to run through the winter season, subject to final regulatory approvals.

For the route, Singapore Airlines will operate the “medium-haul variant of the Airbus A350-900”. The aircraft features 303 seats, with 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy, offering a balance of comfort and capacity for the long-haul flight time.

This return also marks a full-circle moment for the carrier. Singapore Airlines previously operated direct flights to Riyadh between 2008 and 2014, before discontinuing the service after demand fell short of commercial expectations. Now, with travel patterns shifting and interest in Saudi Arabia continuing to build, the airline is turning the page and reconnecting the two destinations with a non-stop option once again.

And for food fans, consider it an extra nudge to plan a culinary hop. With plenty of familiar restaurant names and global flavours spanning both cities, the revived route makes it easier to build a trip around reservations, neighbourhood exploring, and a few well-timed meals.
