Wrth Ramadan will promote traditional Saudi art.


Saudi Arabia’s Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) is partnering with Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City (Misk City) to launch its debut Ramadan market in Riyadh. Wrth Ramadan Market celebrating the Kingdom’s local artisans and art. Running from 15 February to 17 February 2026, the Wrth Ramadan Market will be housed at Misk City in Riyadh.

The market aims to showcase Saudi traditional art forms associated with Ramadan, promoting and selling them as integral to daily life, family, and society. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet artisans and entrepreneurs in person, appreciate their work, hear their stories, and participate in hands-on craft experiences. The market aims to enrich the cultural landscape and highlight traditional arts in a world that often focuses on modern art.

Wrth Ramadan Market

The market will host 25 entrepreneurs representing a variety of crafts, including woodworking, jewellery, pottery, leatherwork, Sadu weaving, gypsum crafts, palm frond weaving, and metalwork. All vendor booths will be decorated with Ramadan-inspired designs that reflect Saudi Arabia’s authenticity and innovation, while emphasising the sustainability of traditional crafts and the economic empowerment of the practitioners.

Founded in 2021, Wrth is a pioneering non-profit institution for Saudi traditional arts, providing educational opportunities and learning programmes that empower both students and artisans, while advancing Saudi crafts internationally. The Kingdom’s traditional arts are a focal point of its past and an integral part of its culture. Wrth, meaning “heritage”, aims to preserve timeless artisanal techniques, encourage innovation, and raise international awareness of the Kingdom’s arts sector.
