Jumeirah unveils its first hotel in Saudi Arabia

Dubai’s luxury hotel group will debut in the Kingdom’s Makkah.

Saudi Arabia is upping its game in the world of hotels and travel. As it aims to become a tourist hub, the Kingdom remains the ultimate destination for Muslims heading to pilgrimage. Making the Holy City of Makkah even more accessible for people is a priority which is why a new star is set to shine in Makkah’s hospitality sky — Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah.

Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah will mark Jumeirah Group’s first hotel opening in Saudi Arabia. This prestigious hotel is part of the second phase of the city’s flagship Jabal Omar project, designed by the renowned architects Foster + Partners.

Situated in Jabal Omar, a stone’s throw away from Makkah’s Masjid Al Haram, the hotel promises world-class luxury with 1,121 keys comprising spacious and elegantly designed rooms, suites, and residences. The hotel opens with 507 guest rooms and elegant suites across two high-rise towers, offering breathtaking views of the city and the Great Mosque of Makkah. An additional 526 rooms and suites will be added in phases across two contemporary towers, accessible via express elevators for seamless access.

For those seeking the utmost privacy and exclusivity, the option to book entire floors is available, with 14 rooms and suites per level. Moreover, the hotel features 88 spacious residences across the podium of the four towers, complete with expansive terraces allowing guests to partake in group prayers taking place at Masjid Al Haram from the comfort of their own accommodations. These accommodations offer a serene sanctuary for guests, allowing them to reconnect and reflect while they’re on pilgrimage.

Beyond accommodation, Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah boasts eight dining destinations, including the Mediterranean restaurant Patras and a lobby lounge serving speciality teas and baked goods. Guests will have access to six additional dining options, offering a diverse culinary experience ranging from regional Arabesque to Indian cuisine.

In addition to its culinary delights, the hotel features three meeting rooms and event spaces accommodating between 10-70 people, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
