John Legend will perform in Riyadh this weekend

The soul superstar joins French Montana, Miguel, Martin Garrix and Mohamed Hamaki at the Diriyah E-Prix.

Riyadh, are you ready? The Diriyah E-Prix is racing into town this weekend, bringing with it a star-studded lineup of artists set to perform at the after-race concerts.

Following a performance in AlUla at the end of 2022, John Legend returns to the Kingdom on Saturday, 28 January.

The hitmaker recently released his latest self-titled album, Legend, which includes collaborations with Rick Ros, JID and Rapsody. He is expected to perform songs from his new and old records, which show off his soulful voice, keys and lyrics. All of MeUsed to Love U and Ordinary People are just some of the hits we hope he performs in Riyadh.

Born in Ohio, United States, he was a whizz at school and skipped two grades. He was even offered a place at Harvard University, which he turned down. The singer swapped books for beats. He received critical acclaim for his debut album, Get Lifted, and went on to carve out a successful career spanning two decades. The crowd pleaser is unique in being an EGOT winner, as he has won all the major entertainment awards – the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.

John Legend is no stranger to the Middle East. He has performed at the UAE’s Emirates Jazz Fest in 2018, at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena in January 2020 and at Louvre Abu Dhabi in November 2022.

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championships – Diriyah E-Prix roars into town on 27 and 28 January, bringing plenty of action on and off the track. The all-electric street racing championship takes place on a 2.495km circuit on Riyadh’s outskirts, featuring 21 twists and turns as it winds through the streets of Diriyah’s UNESCO World Heritage site.

Single-day general admission tickets for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championships – Diriyah E-Prix are priced at SAR 100, whilst two-day tickets are available at SAR 170. Grandstand seat upgrades for single-day tickets cost SAR 150 or SAR 225 for two-day tickets, both include access to concerts.
