Are you a fan of the songs Apologise, Counting Stars and Love Runs Out? Well, you’ll in luck as the American rock band behind the hits, OneRepublic, are coming to AlUla, Saudi Arabia. The concert takes place on 10 November at Maraya, and tickets are available now.
OneRepublic hail from Colorado, United States, and went from MySpace musicians to Grammy Award winners. The band are famous for their alternative rock meets pop music sound, and their songs include Wanted, Rescue Me and Stop and Stare. Plus, lead singer Ryan Tedder has a successful side hustle as a songwriter, which means he has penned lyrics for Adele, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift.
OneRepublic’s AlUla gig is part of a wider world tour, which sees them performing in Rishon Lezion, Dubai, Capetown and Pretoria. OneRepublic have previously performed in the Middle East. They came to the UAE for the Dubai Jazz Festival in 2013, and returned for the event in 2020. Since the 2013 show was sold out, we are expecting the AlUla one to be popular.
OneRepublic are also coming to the UAE for the first-ever Amplified in Abu Dhabi. The new music festival takes place at Yas Links from 11 to 13 November, bringing together pop, rock, funk and soul acts. Other acts include CAS and Ministry of Sound.
As for AlUla's Maraya is a spectacular setting for concerts. As the world’s largest mirrored building, it is famous for reflecting the desert landscape of Ashar Valley. Previous acts at the concert hall include Alicia Keys, Angham, Guy Manoukian, Souad Massi and Westlife. Plus, American soul singer John Legend is coming on 11 November.
If you want to watch OneRepublic in AlUla, tickets start from SAR 330. Saudi, you are spoiling us with singing sensations.
