Located in the Red Sea, it will include a 34-room resort.
Saudi Arabia is welcoming marvellous megaprojects. Now, Yanbu in the Red Sea has announced that it will be opening a boutique wellness resort.
The architecture company Spectrum is behind the design of the 34-room resort. Set along the serene shores of Yanbu, this secluded retreat promises a soulful escape framed by the natural beauty of the Red Sea. Guests can unwind in private sea-facing cabanas, each offering uninterrupted views and a sense of quiet luxury. The experience is elevated with immersive wellness programmes that blend tradition with modern practices, encouraging rest and renewal. At its heart lies a signature spa, an architectural ode to the pearl, once the cherished jewel of Yanbu and now reimagined as a symbol of calm, clarity, and timeless elegance.
Dr. Fahad Bin Mushayt, CEO of ASFAR, stated: “We are excited to kickstart this partnership with the goal of launching and implementing unique projects in this strategically important area along the Red Sea. These endeavours will raise the standards of hospitality and entertainment services in the region, providing exceptional accommodation, amenities, and world-class entertainment offerings.”

“The design, developed by Spectrum Architecture, draws deeply from the soul of Yanbu,” said Stefano Lopez, Senior Director at Baheej. “It reinterprets the poetry of seafaring traditions and the calm resilience of the sea into a space of reflection, comfort, and transformation.”
Lopez shared that the resort’s official brand will be unveiled later this year, offering a glimpse into its uniquely Saudi identity. “We want to create a brand that resonates with our domestic travellers. One that brings generations of Saudi heritage and wellness practices to the forefront of contemporary hospitality,” he explained, hinting at a concept deeply rooted in local culture yet designed for today’s discerning guest.
Baheej is shaping the resort with a thoughtful approach to wellness. Guests can expect a curated programme of experiences, from sunrise meditation sessions to movement rituals inspired by the ebb and flow of the coast. At its core, the resort embodies regional roots, offering treatments rooted in Arabic healing traditions and utilising native ingredients that resonate with the soul of the land.

Norah Al-Tamimi, CEO of Baheej, added: “This project is a reflection of Baheej’s vision to enrich Saudi destinations with meaning, not just infrastructure. Our wellness resort is more than a place to stay — it’s an experience crafted around the values of balance, beauty, and belonging. We believe it will become a new symbol of Yanbu’s evolving identity as a serene coastal escape.”
Baheej Tourism Development Company is a joint venture between ASFAR, the Saudi Tourism Investment Company, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, and the Tamimi-AWN Alliance, a private joint venture.
Yanbu by Baheej will also welcome Cloud 7 Lifestyle Hotel, which has been created in collaboration with Kerten Hospitality. Plus, the Diving Club, Jaba Tour Centre and Kaynuna Beach Escape
