The stars are aligning in the Banban desert outside of Riyadh.
Just when we thought we couldn’t get more excited about MDLBeast Soundstorm, the three-day music festival has added another huge name to its stellar lineup. Calvin Harris is the latest star to join the star-studded MDLBeast Soundstorm 2023 concert lineup. The event takes place from 14 to 16 December and Calvin will form part of the lineup on Friday, 14 December.
Calvin Harris – real name Adam Richard Wiles – is a BRIT Award, Grammy Award and Ivor Novello Award winner. He topped the Forbes’ world’s highest-paid DJs list for six years. His hit songs range from Acceptable in the 80s to This is What You Came For. Over his career, he has collaborated with Dizzee Rascal, Ellie Goulding, Frank Ocean and Rihanna.
The announcement was made on the MDLBeast Soundstorm Instagram account with a simple caption that states: “You better be down to party 👨🎤👩🎤 cuz CALVIN HARRIS is about to lay down some electrifying beats ⚡️⚡️⚡️at SS23.”
Launched in 2019, MDLBeast Sounstorm has consistently drawn both local and international talent, creating a buzz that reverberates far beyond the borders of Riyadh. Last year’s lineup featured the likes of Bruno Mars, David Guetta, DJ Khaled, Jorja Smith and Post Malone. So far, the stars confirmed for MDLBeast Soundstorm 2023 include Pharrell Williams and his Phriends, who will headline the Big Beast stage on Friday, 15 December.
Calvin Harris is clearly a fan of the region. He recently performed at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah, the inaugural Ultra Abu Dhabi, and at MDLBeast Avaria for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
