Get into the groove at Ritual in Riyadh. The Afro house music festival is coming to Al Ammaria Village on 9 June, from 7pm to 3.30am. Bringing together local as well as international names, it offers a rare chance to see Afro house artists in the kingdom.
Ritual in Riyadh’s exciting line-up includes Aura, Emanuele Esposito, Igniter, Talal Jk and Yulia Niko. Aura is a rising star who has created a sound that moves between Afro house and deep house. Yulia Niko is a Berlin-based DJ and producer. She has released 36 tracks, and her signature sound showcases percussion in a minimal form.
Emanuele Esposito hails from Naples, Italy. He is a DJ, producer and co-owner of the label, Switchlab. He is one of the genre’s best-known stars, and creates setlists that are full of energy. His hit songs include It’s Not Right.
Afro house is an African subgenre of house music, which combines tribal house with deep house. The sound can find its routes in South Africa, but Ritual in Riyadh will also include homegrown talent. Igniter is based in Saudi Arabia and is known for his high-energy sets, which aim to get the crowd moving. Talal draws his inspiration from the underground music scene of Saudi Arabia. He combines deep-based tribal sounds with synthesised indigenous percussions.
Tickets to Ritual in Riyadh are on sale now. General admission tickets start from SAR 340. VIP tickets start from SAR 440. Backstage tickets start from SAR 880 and include artists' meet and greet, and access to the VIP bar, parking and restrooms.
