The Kuwaiti brand makes its debut in the Kingdom.

The cat is out of the bag – there’s a new café in Riyadh. Kuwait’s Lazy Cat has made its debut in the Kingdom, and is located in Laysen Valley. Boasting a beautiful terrace, it is a superb spot to soak up the cooler weather. If you like breakfast, brunch and beverages, you’ll be the cat that got the cortado.

The Lazy Cat brand was originally born in Kuwait City, and later expanded to Murouj in Kuwait. The Riyadh opening marks its first expansion outside of Kuwait. The Laysen Valley venue is artfully decorated, from the bright blue kiosk selling and serving food, to the gorgeous garden with hanging plants and lights.

Lazy Cat in Riyadh’s menu is filled with comfort food. The breakfast dishes range from egg to oven-cooked dishes. The breakfast specials include Avocado Folded Bread, Burrata Caprese Folded Bread, and Truffle and Spicy Honey Calzone. The dinner dishes span specials, oven-cooked dishes and desserts. The pizza-inspired dishes include Nutella Smore’s, Salami, and Truffle and Mushroom. The specials range from a Pastrami Sandwich to The Lazy Burger.

If you’re after desserts (or what’s labelled as Fluffy and Happy on the menu), you are spoilt for choices that have an international inspiration. The menu includes Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, Crème Brûlée Japanese Pancakes, and Matcha Japanese Pancakes. Plus, hot drinks range from a Blue Matcha to Tiramisu Latte.

Laysen Valley is located in the Diplomatic Quarter, and is home to a range of cafés, restaurants and shops. The venues include the Spanish spot Asador De Aranda, Kuwait’s B+F, and Bagatelle Riyadh.

Lazy Cat in Riyadh is open daily from 7am to 1am.
