Electronic beats meet cinematic strings as Riyadh turns up the volume this July.
The countdown is on for the Esports World Cup 2025, and Riyadh is ready to level up. Following the announcement of Post Malone headlining the opening ceremony, organisers have now revealed that world-renowned Swedish DJ Alesso will take the Esports World Cup stage on 10 July at Boulevard City, with Grammy-nominated cellist Tina Guo joining him for a genre-bending performance.
Known off-stage as Alessandro Lindblad, Alesso has been a defining force in the EDM scene for over a decade. From remixing Nadia Ali’s Pressure to chart-topping collaborations with Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and OneRepublic, his signature sound has dominated the world’s biggest festivals, from Tomorrowland to Ultra. Expect Riyadh to feel that same energy as he delivers a pulse-pounding set designed to match the global scale of the Esports World Cup.
Adding a bold, cinematic twist to the night, Tina Guo will bring her electric cello mastery to the stage. A powerhouse performer who’s contributed to soundtracks like Wonder Woman, Inception, and Dune, she’s also toured with Hans Zimmer and performed with Metallica. Her haunting string melodies and visual flair will inject high drama into Alesso’s set, offering an opening act that’s equal parts concert and spectacle.
With Post Malone, DJ Alesso, and Tina Guo sharing the spotlight, the Esports World Cup 2025 is shaping up to be an entertainment phenomenon. Running from 7 July to 24 August, the tournament will bring together players from 100 countries, 200 clubs, and 25 games for the world’s biggest esports showdown.
Tickets for the opening ceremony are now on sale, starting from SAR 115, and more acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
