The story-led electronic music festival is back in the desert for two late-night sessions, complete with seven themed stages and immersive extras.

Saudi Arabia’s live music calendar keeps getting bigger, bolder and more imaginative, and MDLBeast is once again leaning into spectacle with the return of A Thousand and One Festival. After its first edition turned Banban into a full-scale fantasy set, the concept is making a comeback in April, bringing its fairytale-inspired world-building back to the outskirts of the capital.

Set in Banban at the same festival site as MDLBeast Soundstorm, A Thousand and One will take place across Thursday 23 April and Friday 24 April 2026. Expect the same after-dark energy that has become a signature of MDLBeast’s desert events, with gates opening at 7pm and the music running through to 4am. Last entry is at 2am, and the festival is strictly for over-18s.

This year, the experience is being scaled up. Organisers have confirmed seven themed stages, designed to deliver different moods, sounds and atmospheres across the site. Beyond the DJ booths, there is also the Bizarre Bazaar, plus additional interactive zones aimed at keeping the night moving even when you are taking a break from the crowd.

The lineup has not been revealed yet, but last year’s event was headlined by ARTBAT, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz and R3HAB. MDLBeast’s programming typically blends international heavy hitters with regional and local names, so expect a mix that caters to dance music obsessives and casual festivalgoers alike. For now, the focus is on the format: more stages, more immersive details, and more reasons to lose track of time under the lights.

Tickets are on sale now, with general admission starting from SAR 279 for a single day, while a two-day pass is currently priced from SAR 479. Ticket packages include access to all stages, plus parking and wallet credit.
