Blu Pizzeriá fans in Riyadh, we have some tasty news. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have long shared a special relationship, with restaurant brands regularly launching across both markets. Now, Blu Pizzeriá has made its way from Dubai to Riyadh and is currently in its soft opening phase in An Nakheel.
Blu Pizzeriá already has locations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and is now expanding into Riyadh. The company shared a story on its Instagram, teasing followers about what to expect. The caption read: “Blu is green today. Stay tuned.” The story featured a Saudi Arabian flag, a green background, and a stack of pizza boxes. It also linked to its new Instagram account, Blu Pizzeriá Riyadh.
The concept draws its inspiration from Naples, Italy, the birthplace of pizza. The wood-fired pizzas are topped with a variety of ingredients, including flavours influenced by the Middle East. The Riyadh venue is a stylish venue featuring dark wood finishes, plush seating, and decorative greenery.
The menu features both classic and innovative interpretations of pizza, catering to discerning diners. The classics range from the Burrata, topped with basil, burrata cheese and cherry tomatoes, to the Spicy Pepperoni, made with cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano and spicy salami.
Among the more inventive options are the Short Ribs, featuring Black Angus short ribs, caramelised onions and truffle white sauce, and the Musakhan, with chicken, cheese and sour cream sauce. Other highlights include the Margo, made with a variety of cheeses, and the Tartufo, topped with truffle paste, truffle oil, and shaved truffle.
Blu Pizzeriá Riyadh is currently in soft opening and is open daily from 7pm to 1am.
