From private jets to fireworks – check out his Al Hilal introduction.

Saudi Arabia is hitting the headlines with its football deals. The latest high-profile signing sees Neymar move from Paris Saint-Germain to Al Hilal. Following his signing, he has landed in the Kingdom and received a grand welcome.

In a bid to add more stars to Saudi Pro League, the Kingdom secured Neymar. He has signed a two-year contract with the Kingdom’s team for a reported €90 million. According to reports, the Saudi royal family’s Prince Al Waleed bin Talal lent Neymar his private jet, so that the footballer could fly from Paris to Riyadh.

Neymar was greeted by Al Hilal fans at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. The welcome included a flame thrower and a firework display. The drones spelt out “Neymar is blue”. Unfortunately, he is currently recovering from an ankle injury and may have to wait one month until he can make his Al Hilal debut.

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, better known as Neymar, hails from Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil. He came to prominence at Santos. He relocated to Europe to play for Barcelona. Over his career, he has gained a reputation for being a prolific goal scorer and scored at least 100 goals for three different clubs.

Neymar explained: "I believe Cristiano Ronaldo started all of this and everybody called him crazy. Today you see the league grow more and more. It is exciting, meeting top-quality players on the other teams thrills you, and motivates you to play even better. And it is a given when you face Ronaldo, Benzema, Firmino, that the excitement is even greater. So, I am happy to join this league, facing them will be wonderful, it will be fantastic.”
