After 12 years, the English midfielder is moving clubs.

There’s big news coming from the football world. Liverpool’s captain, Jordan Henderson, has made a surprising move. After an incredible 12 years at Anfield, the England midfielder has completed his transfer to the Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq.

Liverpool made the official announcement on their social media channels confirming the news and bidding farewell to their star player. Al-Ettifaq, on the other hand, couldn't hide their excitement at welcoming Henderson to their ranks. They shared: "A leader. A warrior. We're simply thrilled to have him."

Jordan Henderson has been a star player in Liverpool. From the amazing Premier League victory to Champions League triumphs, he's been the heart and soul of Liverpool's successes.

Henderson isn’t the only star football player to pack his bags and move to the Kingdom. In fact, Moussa Dembele and Jack Hendry have also joined Al Ettifaq. Prior to that, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema made the jump to Saudi, proving that the league is attracting some serious talent. Even Lionel Messi was reportedly offered a deal that he turned it down. Plus, PSG's Kylian Mbappe received an offer from a Saudi Pro League club, but there has been no official confirmation of him accepting it.

The transfers highlight Saudi Arabia's sporting ambition – and we are excited to watch.
