Sports fans, we’ve got news from the world of professional football for you. Word on the street is that the talented French midfielder, Paul Pogba has received an offer from a Saudi Arabia club. Following the steps of football superstars Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante, Paul might be moving to the Kingdom as well.
Rumour has it that Paul recently visited the Al Ittihad training grounds in Saudi Arabia. Since then speculations have been rife if he’d be joining Benzema and Kante in the squad. But other reports suggest that Paul might be moving to Al Ahli instead which already has big names such as Edouard Mendy and Roberto Firmino. So which club will this French footballer join?
Whichever club Paul chooses, he’s likely to be offered a lot of money. Reports suggest that he’s already been offered a three-year contract from Al Ittihad that’s worth over a whopping SAR 400 million (€100 million), plus bonuses. If he signs, it would be one of the biggest transfers in the history of Saudi Arabian football.
Paul has enjoyed some of his career bests in Manchester United and Juventus and his potential move to a Saudi club could give him a much-needed fresh start. The midfielder has been having a tough time lately and this transfer could allow him to reignite his form. Who knows, a new environment and a different league might just be what he needs to rediscover his peak performance. Who doesn’t want to see Paul back in action?
With big bucks to gain from the move, Paul Pogba seems to be at a crossroads. But it’s only a matter of time till we find out if he’s willing to take the plunge and move to the Kingdom. After all, he does have a massive fan following in the region and they’d love for him to move closer.
