From celebrity chefs to luxury labels, here are the 48 venues opening in Via Riyadh.

Via Riyadh is the new luxury destination that keeps on giving. The venue boasts celebrity chefs, state-of-the-art cinemas, world-famous fashion brands, and a five-star hotel – The St. Regis Riyadh, no less. Translated: that's 23 shops, 17 restaurants, 7 cinemas and one hotel.

Restaurants have flocked from Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and beyond to be a part of Via Riyadh. The streets of Via Riyadh will be lined with fine-dining experiences. So, pull up a seat to the legendary Wolfgang Puck's Spago or rising stars Hisato Hamada's Wagyumafia.

At Via Riyadh, you'll be spoilt for choice and just plain spoilt. Shop in style and book yourself a porter or personal assistant. The shops sound like a Fashion Week line-up – Dolce and Gabbana, Elie Sab and Tom Ford, anyone? Plus, you'll have stars in your eyes, thanks to the sparkling range of jewellery and watch brands.

Via Riyadh will also be home to cinemas that look like lounges, and a world-class hotel. Eating and shopping can be hard work, after all. Set to open in February, the design is inspired by the kingdom's heritage, from Salmani architecture to Tuwaiq's mountainous stones. The results are a marvellous combination of tradition and modernity.

Welcome to Via Riyadh.

Restaurants
Bianca

Big up the grandmothers. Bianca gets its name from the chef’s grandmother Bianca, nicknamed Nonna Tina. When you step foot into the venue, you'll be surrounded by comfort food. The beautiful bakery is home to breads and pastries. Plus, the restaurant fuses Argentinian, French and Italian food. If you try one thing, make it the Rigatoni all Bolognese, which is one of the restaurant's signature dishes.

café ELLE

Fashion and food might not go together like Dolce and Gabbana, but café ELLE has flipped the switch. The casual café brings to life the world-famous magazine. The concept celebrates the French art de vivre, and has Insta-worthy, delicate dishes – obviously. The café can be found in Bangkok, Shanghai and Tokyo. Now you can strike a pose at the Via Riyadh branch.

chi SPACCA

It's all about meat, glorious meat at chi SPACCA. Inspired by Italy, born in Los Angeles and landing in Via Riyadh, the new restaurant is famed for its succulent steaks. With a name that translates to "she or he who cleaves", we're expecting it to be all about the cuts. If the previous menus are anything to go by, we are hoping that there are burgers, pies and ribs.

ferdi

Not many restaurants can secure a shot with models of the moment, but that's the power of ferdi. Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid, to name a few, were snapped in the Parisian restaurant. With branches in Geneva and London, it's now bringing its chic to Saudi. If the menus in the other restaurants are anything to go, expect dishes ranging from seafood to salads. Don't be put off by the toys, this is for grown-ups. Well, chic ones.

Gymkhana

At Gymkhana, you'll feel like you've travelled back in time to colonial India's gymkhanas, which were once social clubs. The London venue is dripping in finesse, as it serves high-end Indian cuisine in a sophisticated setting. Plus, it boasts fans ranging from MICHELIN inspectors (it has one star) to celebrities (including Taylor Swift and the Beckhams). Oh, and FACT editors. So, we're expecting big things at Via Riyadh.

Joan's on Third

Come for the all-day breakfast, and stay for the coffee. This Californian born family business is branching out, 8,252 miles away, all the way to Via Riyadh. The café serves wholesome food, think sandwiches, salads and oh-so cute picnic hampers. Popular items from the original menu include the Breakfast Burrito, Chinese Chicken Salad and Turkey Club Sandwich. Don't leave without trying dessert – a Nutella Loaf slice, anyone?

Les Deux Magots

Ernest Hemmingway, James Baldwin and Pablo Picasso walk into a restaurant. Nope, this isn't the beginning of a joke, but what actually happened – albeit at different times – at Les Deux Magots. The Parisian restaurant opened in 1885, and has always been popular with the bohemian crowd. We're hoping that the Via Riyadh venue has live jazz music à la its Parisian counterpart. So, tuck into French classics while discussing, well, French classics.

Madeo Ristorante

Hyperlocal cuisine is trending, so if you want a taste, book yourself a table at Madeo Ristorante. This is not just Italian cuisine or Tuscan cuisine, but Forte dei Marmi cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on its locally sourced ingredients and its family's traditional dishes. The small town hit the big time, as it has been running in Los Angeles for more than 35 years and is now coming to Via Riyadh.

ManuH Cigar Lounge

ManuH Cigar Lounge has an air of exclusivity, thanks to the smell of these classy cigars. The brand boasts one of the largest collections of cigars in the kingdom – we're talking 200 cigar lockers. So, puff your way through them, while settling in the luxurious lounge.

Over Under

Saudi loves a good cup of coffee, so it comes as no surprise to find this London café is making its way to Via Riyadh. The concept was created by Ed Barry in London in 2017. When he lived in New York, he loved sipping his way around the city's cafés. The brand has six cafés in London, and is now making its international debut. So, here's your chance to get the perfect blend of the Big Apple and Big Smoke.

Raoul's

If it's good enough for A-listers, from Al Pacino to Kate Moss, it's good enough for us. Raoul's is bringing the glam to Via Riyadh. The New York bistro has been serving Parisian cuisine since 1975. We're hoping the menu includes its staples: Maine Lobster Vol au Vent, Prime Beef Short Rib, Roast Chicken and Steak Naturel au Poivre.

Scott's Riyadh

Seafood lovers will want to dive into Scott's Mayfair. Drool alert: it has a dedicated shellfish, oyster and caviar menu. The London restaurant was born in 1851, and boasts legendary customers such as James Bond creator, Ian Fleming – he was a regular, apparently.

Spago by Wolfgang Puck

Wolfgang Puck has probably been feeding more A-list celebrities than you've had hot dinners – he was the chef of choice for the Academy Awards for more than 20 years. With 40 years under its belt, it's bound to be a hit.

We also know that this is where viral social media sensation, Chef Akayoshi Watanabe is opening his sushi spot.

WAGYUMAFIA

The clue is in the name: it's all about Wagyu and more Wagyu at WAGYUMAFIA. Created by Hisato Hamada, a self-confessed wagyu expert, it went from pop-up dinners to a fully-fledged restaurant Now, the Tokyo-born restaurant is making its Saudi debut. Come, celebrate Wagyu.

YAKINIKUMAFIA by WAGYUMAFIA

Roll up, roll up, as you'll have a front-row seat to theatrical dining at YAKINIKUMAFIA by WAGYUMAFIA. The concept gives the old-age Japanese technique of grilling meat over a fire an upgrade. The cuts include sustainably raised single-breed Wagyu, and uses butchery techniques that minimise waste. Plus, it comes from the same team behind Wagyumafia – the squad just keeps expanding.
