The collaboration brings together two Fact Dining Award winners for a six-course sharing menu in the heart of DIFC.

Acclaimed home-grown chefs Matthijs Stinnissen and Reif Othman will team up for a four hands dinner 'The Best of Dubai: A Dining Experience' Series 4 at BOCA for one night only on 3 February 2021. 

BOCA, a Fact Dining Award winner for 'Favourite European Restaurant' is heavily influenced by Spanish cuisine and with a strong commitment to sustainability and local sourcing, where chef Matthijs has perfected the understanding of local ingredients and the varying palates of the UAE market. By using fermenting, curing, dehydrating, ageing and pickling, he creates new dishes and new dining experiences.

Chef Matthijs will be joined by home-grown hero Reif Othman who has built his reputation on providing diners with a sensory and gastronomic journey, through a masterful blend of exquisite flavours that seamlessly fuse East and West. In 2019, Reif opened his 29-seater unlicensed unconventional Japanese street food restaurant, Kushiyaki. This family-style, neighbourhood restaurant specialises in freshly grilled, skewered meats inspired by Japanese robata restaurants and was awarded 'Best Japanese Restaurant - Casual Dining' at the Fact Dining Awards Dubai 2020.

In this collaboration, BOCA plays host and welcomes unconventional Japanese street food into its kitchen. Diners can expect a memorable menu of European and Asian flavours with contemporary execution. This dinner promises to be an unparalleled culinary experience created by two of Dubai's most celebrated home-grown chefs. 

The menu will begin with starters of new style fatty tuna sashimi, dry-aged 'meatroot' and smoked mackerel and marigold. Main courses include Reif's Kagoshima wagyu rice pot and grilled octopus from chef Matthijs. The dinner will conclude with matcha fondant and caramel miso ice cream.

This one-off dinner is limited to forty seats only and advanced booking and payment are essential. Wednesday 3 February, from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. AED 345 for food only, add AED 150 for four paired beverages.
