A taste of the Mediterranean to entice diners to The Pointe.

A new restaurant opens its doors today at The Pointe. Il Passaggio which means "The Passage" in Italian is a homegrown Mediterranean inspired restaurant and the latest foodie hotspot to open on Palm Jumeirah. 

Guests enter through a passage that intersects the kitchen to discover an airy restaurant with a vaulted glass roof; orangery inspired kitchen gallery, fresh white walls and a touch of luxe from the marble tables and unique light fixtures. Diners are encouraged to relax upon wicker furniture on the terrace, and with a panoramic view across Palm Bay, it's as close to the beautiful Amalfi Coast as you're likely to get in Dubai.

The menu is an eclectic mix of Mediterranean cuisine with French and Italian influences that is prepared within open plan glass kitchens, providing guests with the opportunity to view the bakery, pasta, pizza and dessert teams in action. If you're lucky, you may even be able to grab a seat at the pizza station and watch your dough being prepared before being cooked in the glass pizza oven.

II Passaggio's culinary team takes traditional flavours and add a touch of modern flair, to create an all-day menu bursting with vibrant colours and rich textures. Take your morning stroll along the pointe promenade and enjoy a leisurely start to the day. Breakfast highlights include Acai Bowls, French Toast, Shakshuka, Truffle Croissant and three Breakfast Combos. All served with unlimited house brewed tea or coffee.

There's also a range of soups, salads, burgers, pizzas and pasta dishes, with highlights including the Truffle Tear and Share, Quinoa SaladSteak Burger, Il Passaggio Pizza and Mama's Lasagna. Make sure you save some room for the Homemade Ice Cream or Tiramisu.

With family and community at the heart of the Il Passaggio concept, there is also a special curated children's menu available, and with The Pointe being a pet-friendly location, your pooch is more than welcome.
